Canon has launched a lot of digital camera models, from the professional SLR cameras to the small point and shoot models. If you look at review sites you will see a lot of good opinions about Canon digital cameras, since the quality of the photos is very good and they’re built very well. Online you can find features, ratings and prices for all the Canon digital cameras, including Digital Rebel, EOS and PowerShot. Yes, you will find that their cameras get excellent reviews, but they’re all true.
Canon SX10 IS
In my opinion, the Canon SX10 IS is the best point and shoot ever, and I’m not the only one to think that. This digital camera aims to take on Olympus and be the best camera of this type. It’s an extended zoom camera that is powerful and has an optical zoom of 20x. Its resolution is 10 megapixels, it has wide angle lens, an LCD screen of 2.5 inches and image stabilization as a feature. You can usually find one for under $350.
Canon PowerShot SD990 IS
When it comes to ultracompact digital cameras, the Canon Powershot SD990 IS is the best model offered by Canon for the holiday season of 2008. It has a light body, it’s small and has enough power. It has the latest technology in it and the sensor has 14.7 megapixels. The optical zoom is 3.7x and you can go with the digital zoom up to 4x. The photos are saved in JPEG format and the ISO varies between 80 and 1600. You can choose between manual and auto exposure and it also comes with lens-shift image stabilization. The lowest prices you can find them at is $300.
Canon EOS 50D
The EOS 50D is the latest model offered by Canon and it’s the replacement for the 40D model. It comes with the DIGIC 4 image processor, an LCD screen that has 3 inches and a CMOS sensor of 15 megapixels. The ISO can go as high as 12800, it has an EF/EF-S lens mount and you can save photos both in RAW and JPEG formats. It’s an expensive camera though, as you have to spend around $1200 on it.
Canon Digital Rebel XS
This camera was launched as competition to other DSLR cameras that are entry-level. Though it’s based on the 450D model, it’s a cheaper version, that still has some of the good features (very good ISO, Live View preview, saving files as RAW or JPEG). The price is around $500.
Fifteen years ago photographers were only using rolls of film and the models would receive a contact sheet which contained all of their images after their photo shoot. From that point, you selected the images you wanted to represent yourself and you proceeded to a printing company. The printer would then create a simple layout for you and your comp cards were the final product. Comp cards were available in various quantities ranging from 50-500. The more you purchased the cheaper the cost. The entire process was long and tedious.
Today, the majority of photographers have gone digital. The benefits of digital vastly outweight that of film. Digitals can be manipulated with a computer software called Adobe Photoshop. This is a good and a bad thing.
You can play around with Adobe Photoshop and enhance your best features such as your eyes or hair. The most important thing to note is that you don’t want to go overboard with the enhancements. You want to make sure your photographs look like you when you go on an audition. The worse case scenario is that you go on an audition and you are asked to leave. One of the best benefits of digital is that it saves you money on printing costs. You don’t need a ton of comp cards printed.
Personally, I recommend that you order quantities of 100. That is more than enough to give to your agents. Your agent will download/scan your comp card into their system and submit you for assignments via the Internet usually with a site called actorsaccess.com. You are also able to update your comp card frequently as you get tear sheets from previous jobs. Having the ability to update your comp card will help keep you current in an every changing industry.
Keep in mind, some modeling agencies are still using comp cards as some clients are not as tech savvy. Other agencies have their own websites where they display their talent for their clients to see and book their models.
Some of the experts I’ve spoken to in the industry are predicting it will be about 2 more years before comp cards become completely obsolete and the modeling industry goes all digital. It is best to be proactive and ahead of the competition so now is a excellent time to learn Photoshop.
In the meantime with all of that extra money you are going to save, why not buy a domain name or start a blog and market yourself? Domain names are inexpensive and can be purchased right now and stored until you are ready to use them in the near future. By having your own website or blog you are able to house your own photos hence eliminating the need to have your photographs printed. You can simply provide your agents or potential clients if you are a free lance model with the link to your page.
Finding a model body workout can be tough. Most programs promise results that they simply do not deliver. If you haven’t incorporated circuit training into your workout program, then that could be the missing link you are looking for. Circuits need to be a part of any workout program if that program is to be considered a model quality workout. Models, if you haven’t noticed, have slim, toned, healthy bodies. How can circuit training help you go about getting a model body? In this article, I will explain why circuit training is your secret to a cover model physique.
Cardio Fitness
First and foremost, circuit training is great for cardio fitness. If you have been trying to find that perfect model body, but your workout hasn’t included any cardiovascular training, you have made a huge mistake! Cardio workouts are the key to burning fat. Getting that heart pumping will make your heart healthier and happier. A happy heart will give you a happy stomach and jean size. If you want a model body, you need to lose the fat.
Muscular Strength and Toning
Research has shown that circuits and HIIT increases muscle strength. You can’t expect to just shed pounds and have a model body.” Models are not simply skinny: they are toned and strong. HIIT will increase your muscle strength as well as tone your muscles. Finding a workout program that tones your muscles doesn’t have to be as difficult as people make it. By incorporating just one or two circuits in with the rest of your workout regime, you are on your way to toned, strong muscles.
Variability
Nobody likes doing the same exercise program day after day, week after week, and month after month. You may find an exercise program that you enjoy, but sticking with that exercise program and repeating it without getting bored of it is a whole different story. The great thing about circuit training is that it can easily be adjusted if you grow bored with one specific exercise. You can target different parts of your body. If you grow bored with one circuit training program, know that your model body workout doesn’t have to lose circuits all together. Circuit training is easily adjusted to fit your needs as they change over time.
Circuit training is your secret to a model body. It is great because it is easily adjusted and is full of variability. It is also essential to include in your workout because it not only improves your cardio fitness and therefore burns up fat, but it also strengthens and tones your muscles. If you want to be on your way to a model body, remember that it can’t be called a model body workout unless it includes circuit training.
